Our camp site in Hondo Texas. This is another SKP CO-OP. Our lot did not have a casita on it but most lots do. A casita is a small building used either as a garage, work area, storage, or as a small living room with TV/computer. They may not have a kitchen or bathroom in them. Basically may be used the same a garage would be used in a normal house.

We had our mail sent to us here in Hondo from our PO Box by Jerry. It did not show up Monday when we arrived so we took the opportunity to catch up on some needed chores. Marcy decided that spending a day in her PJ's and reading a book was a much need activity after almost two weeks of driving, setting up, taking down and generally rushing around in a new place every day or two. With great internet WiFi service but poor phone service I sat in front of the computer almost all day. Fun stuff for both of us. I used the little tripod to take a picture of both of us together.

The casita's people put up range from this beauty to simple metal sheds. The lots range from lawns, trees and flowers to dirt. This particular park has some park model RV's but mostly regular fifth wheel's and motor homes, with a couple travel trailers.

One project of high interest to all concerned is the sewer drain holder. I stopped by a hardware store and purchased a white plastic house rain gutter. I had the person cut it in half and then one of the half's in half again. This makes it usable in the different parks we stay at as the sewer drain is always a different length from the trailer. This setup uses all three pieces. I use a bungee cord to hold one end of it at the top and wood and rocks to obtain the correct slope for drainage. When I pack up to go it is attached to the sewer hose tube and held in place by bungee cords. If you would like further info or more pictures regarding this "mod" please feel free to leave a comment or drop me an e-mail.

  3. We miss you two so much it hurts. We think about you and talk about you all the time. We were looking at bigger trailers yesterday and said this one would be good because the kids could have lots of room to sleep in their own beds. And no we have not bought a bigger trailer yet, Bailey -- just looking. We have only been finding fools gold, none of the real stuff and lots of geodes in Arizona but had to leave them in Arizona. Can't wait to see your peacock feather and I will tell you about Grandpa's boogers when we talk next. Texas is beautiful with lots of lakes -- good kayaking when it isn't too windy. Should be at Lake Texocoma in OK by this afternoon and Tulsa on Friday. The hole in the Casita is repaired and looks great -- just expensive. Love you all too much!!!

  6. The geods were TOO BIG to put in a bag. The gold is only pretend gold. We left it so other people could find it after we left, then they can tell their grandkids about it too. Grandpa has to remember to take more pictures so you can see everything we find. Ice cream for lunch at school is a good thing, so is playing catch with Dad. Ask Mom or Dad if they will show you how to use e-mail to send us mail :-)
