Below are pictures of Rice Texas. The main street is empty with one of the buildings being taken apart for the bricks. A very sad sight.

The town did have a very large and new looking High School and an operating Elementary School. None of this really made any sense as the houses were old and not very many of them.
We also visited the town Kerens which was laid out and basically built by the railroad back when Cotton was the main crop grown. Now it is a shadow of it's former self.
